Her Guard Privacy Policy

Her Guard is provided by Panda Play Studios (Pty) Ltd. This policy explains how the Her Guard iPhone and iPad app handles information. You do not need an account to use the app.

Checks you run in the app

The smart glasses check listens for nearby Bluetooth advertisements and uses device names, identifiers, manufacturer information, and signal strength to show possible matches. The wireless check examines Bluetooth advertisements and devices on the Wi-Fi network you are using, including local addresses, names, and responses from network services. The room scan uses the camera and, on supported devices, depth information to highlight possible lens reflections.

These checks run on your device. Her Guard does not send scan readings, results, camera images, or depth data to Panda Play Studios. The app does not identify a person or establish whether a device is recording. Scan results are temporary and are not kept as a history by the app.

Information kept on your device

Her Guard saves your onboarding state, checklist progress, whether you have used the complimentary wireless check, and basic app preferences on your device. If you set up an “Excuse Me” call, the app can also save the caller name, an optional photo you select, and the scheduled time. The photo stays in the app's local storage. iOS may temporarily copy it for a local notification. The “Excuse Me” call is a simulated alert, not a phone call.

You can remove a saved caller photo in the app, cancel a scheduled alert, and change your notification settings in iOS. Uninstalling Her Guard removes its locally stored app data, subject to any device backup you control.

Purchases and permissions

Apple processes in-app purchases and subscriptions. Her Guard reads purchase status from Apple's StoreKit to unlock features. Panda Play Studios does not receive your payment card details through the app. Apple's handling of purchase information is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Her Guard asks for Bluetooth access when you use a Bluetooth check, camera access for the room scan, local network access for the wireless check, and notification permission if you schedule an alert. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. The optional photo is selected through Apple's photo picker; Her Guard does not request access to your entire photo library.

Information you choose to send us

If you tap “Send Email,” your email app opens a message addressed to contact@pandaplaystudios.com. You decide whether to send it and what to include. We use messages we receive to respond and handle your request. We keep them only as long as needed for that purpose or applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your correspondence using the same address, subject to any legal obligation to keep it.

Sharing and advertising

The app does not include an advertising or third-party analytics SDK. Her Guard does not sell scan results or use them to target ads. Information you provide to Apple for purchases and to your email provider when sending feedback is handled by those services under their own policies. We do not share app scan data with them.

When you open this page, our web host may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the time of your visit to deliver the page and maintain the service. Contact us if you want to ask about that information.

Changes and contact
